Rabbi Raphael Bensimon was born in Montreal, Canada, and
grew up in Boca Raton, Florida. After finishing high school, he
went on to learn in many yeshivos in both Eretz Yisrael and
America, including Mevasseret, Derech HaTalmud under Rav
Chaim Ilson, and Yeshiva Gedola of Passaic under Rav Meir
Stern. In his Kollel years, he returned to Yerushalayim where he
learned in Rav Ilson’s Kollel for two years, followed by eight years
in Lakewood, NJ, in BMG and the Sephardic Kollel of Zichron
Binyamin.
